What are Greenhouse Gases GHCs ?
Climate change is now scientifically attributed to the emission of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere.

The most common GHG is carbon dioxide (CO2 or ‘carbon’). There are many other gases that contribute to climate change though. These include methane (CH4 ) and nitrous oxide (N2 O).

Each GHG has a different effect on the earth’s atmosphere. However each different GHG can be converted into an equivalent CO2 warming effect. Then all CO2 - equivalents can be added up for the overall impact.
Here we just refer to carbon - but in reality we're talking all GHCs.
